Currently I have been hard at work in the garden and the sun has been harsh. Having fair skin its difficult to look after it out there! This has brought me to the attention of what my skin is doing. When it's dry, when it's oily, when is being stupid and blotchy and what to do and what not to do. Though even more exciting than that I've been learning about the goings on in the creams and the formulas we all like to put on our faces and skins. The parts that matter and what they do and the parts that are fillers and fluff and do nothing, SOME are even detrimental though maybe not the ones you might think!
In the next few posts I will be sharing and explaining a few interesting tidbits regarding skincare such as why you should NEVER use lemons on your skin, no matter how much pinterest and youtube wants you to!
In the meantime, be well my pretties! And regarding skin, keep in mind that if you want you skin to be happy and healthy;
- Wear sunscreen and reapply (use a non-comedogenic (does not clog pores ((though still can, just less so)) such as Neutrogena Ultrasheer. Or maybe if you have really oily or acne prone skin you should go for a gel based sunscreen same goes for your moisturiser!)
- Cover up - The more you can stay away from the sun, the better. No one wants to end up a cooked sausage.
- Quit smoking
- Eat heathy
- Only ever touch your face with clean hands!
- Sleep more
- Stress less - HA! IF ONLY!non-comedogenicnon-comedogenic
Some good advice.
